Job Title: Planning Officer

Job Summary:
The Planning Officer is responsible for developing and monitoring project schedules ensuring timely procurement of broughtout items and managing project resources efficiently. This role requires expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM) Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and coordination with procurement teams to ensure the project progresses as per the planned schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Scheduling:
Develop monitor and update project schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM) to track project progress.
Identify key project milestones and ensure adherence to deadlines.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and present them to management.
Coordinate with various departments (engineering procurement and teams) to ensure smooth project .
2. BOQ & BroughtOut Items Management:
Review and analyze Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to identify required materials and components.
Ensure timely procurement and availability of broughtout items (specialized equipment materials etc..
Work closely with procurement and suppliers to prevent delays in material delivery.
3. Resource & Requirement Planning:
Forecast manpower materials and equipment requirements for each project phase.
Ensure the title ki door (specific project requirements) are met on time.
Optimize resource allocation to prevent bottlenecks and cost overruns.
4. Risk Management & Critical Path Analysis:
Perform risk analysis and propose mitigation strategies to avoid project delays.
Identify critical activities in the project using CPM and propose solutions for potential delays.
Ensure effective coordination between different work packages to maintain a smooth workflow.
5. Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare and maintain project progress reports variance reports and delay analysis reports.
Maintain accurate records of procurement schedules BOQ tracking and broughtout item delivery.
Provide datadriven insights to management for decisionmaking and project optimization.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering Project Management or a related field.
Certifications: PMP Primavera P6 or MS Project knowledge preferred.
Experience: Minimum 35 years of experience in planning & scheduling in construction/oil & gas/infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in CPM scheduling tools (Primavera P6 MS Project etc.
o Strong understanding of BOQ procurement processes and broughtout items management
o Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Soft Skills: Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong coordination with procurement engineering and teams.
Experience in title ki door and ensuring compliance with project needs.
