Job Purpose
- To provide administrative and customer access support to the Temporary accommodation team.
- To undertake sign up of applicants being admitted to temporary accommodation.
- To process the processing of invoices for emergency accommodation.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- To provide housing service advice and information to customers by telephone email or in person as part of a reception service. To signpost clients to other services and departments as required.
- To work late as and when the service demands. This is to assist late comers for temporary accommodation.
- To ring around daily to secure properties for the use of emergency overnight accommodation.
- To follow up any interest from prospective new landlords as directed by Senior Access & Support Officer provide them with the relevant information and inform them of the nightly rate.
- General administration
- Creating and terminating tenancies
- A high volume of phone calls.
Essential Experience Required
- Experience in Administration duties is essential.
- Experience in Microsoft Excel is desirable.
- Experience with Northgate IT Systems is essential
Essential Qualification Required
- General education qualification is essential.
Additional information to note
- Working hours: 35 hours per week
- DBS is required for this role.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join our Temporary Accommodation Placement Team, who provide a quality administration service to the team of temporary accommodation officers and the manager. You will need to have experience in a variety of administration duties, be computer literate and willing to learn new I.T skills. A good working knowledge MS Excel is required.
