JOB OVERVIEW
Job Title: Hospitalist Internal Medicine / Family Medicine
Job Type: Locum Tenens
Location: Crowley Louisiana
Service Setting: Hospital
Coverage Type: Clinical Call
Coverage Period: Starting August 12month assignment
Clinical Shift Schedule: 7a 7p Inpatient Rounding (MD); 7p 7a Telemedicine
OnCall Shift Schedule: 5p 7p Sunday Saturday
Call Type: InHouse (Evening hours only)
Call Ratio: Daily 2 hours/day
Call Response Time: Immediate
Callback Rate: Included in call shift
COVERAGE DATES
Start: August 1 2025
Minimum Shift Requirement: 7 shifts/month
Assignment Length: 12 months

Patient Volume: 5150 annually 14/day)

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Temporary Privileges Available: Yes for clean files only
Credentialing Timeline: 60 90 days with clean file
Onboarding Requirements: EMR training followed by orientation

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active Louisiana License
Board: BC/BE in FP or IM with minimum 2 years HM experience
DEA: Active DEA
Certifications: ACLS BLS
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Hospital Medicine
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide inpatient hospitalist services including rounding and admissions
Handle 12hour rounding shifts and participate in brief evening call
Manage open ICU patients (no procedures specified)
Document using Ochsner EPIC system
Collaborate with hospital staff and follow onboarding protocols
