Job Description

You will work within a fun dynamic and diverse team and will have the opportunity to engage on projects from the beginning planning stages through construction documents and support the project during design and construction. Project types vary from site development to utility infrastructure to regional stormwater facilities in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Our welcoming office offers collaboration space where you can brainstorm with your team and mentors an individual workspace where you can dive deep into your design and large kitchens where you can escape for some lively lunchtime conversation. We are looking for team members that will support projects and teams by creating managing updating and maintaining a variety of drawings with an eye for presentation and attention to detail. Responsibilities and Duties:
With the supervision of a CAD technician project engineer and/or project manager you will:
- Research jurisdictional codes and manuals to determine drafting and CAD requirements.
- Create project drawings and exhibit deliverables
- Apply established company jurisdiction and/or project cad standards
- Maintain organization of project files
- Prepare and edit plans profiles sections and details from rough sketches redline markups and verbal instruction from team members
- Perform vehicular turning studies using software such as AutoTurn
- Be responsible for presentation and overall drawing appearance and clarity
- Coordinate with engineers and team members
- Plot and scan drawings
- Complete drawings and project responsibilities within acceptable timeline
- For CAD Technicians understand model and use Civil 3D design elements
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 4 years experience or completion of a CAD Technical education program
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- For CAD Technician applicable and working knowledge of Civil 3D
- The ability and desire to work both independently and as part of a team
- Selfmotivated hardworking dependable employee
- Be detail oriented organized and have good followthrough skills
- Clear and collaborative communication skills
- Ability to develop excellent working relationships with team members
Additional Information :
Physical Demands:
- Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.
- Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
- Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking standing kneeling or navigating uneven terrain.
- Traveling to project sites or client meetings which may involve driving or flying.
Compensation:
The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidates experience education and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate is $30 $50/hour.
