Job Description

Come join Prisms team! We are seeking a dedicated SLP who is passionate about transforming the lives of children with autism (ages 06. Become part of our collaborative team dedicated to providing compassionate relationshipfocused ABA therapy in a fun supportive environment!Summary: The Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for providing Speech and Language Therapy in the clinical setting. In addition to providing direct therapy the Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for providing consultative/indirect training as needed participating in the treatment planning process and supplying required documentation and working in collaboration with the clinical team to develop appropriate treatments for patients. The Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for maintaining appropriate licensure. Therapeutic effectiveness interdisciplinary collaboration and communication skills are required of the Speech and Language Pathologist.RESPONSIBILITIES Assessment and Intervention Planning:Conduct assessments relevant to the patients abilities including screenings and normsbased criterionreferenced and curriculumbased measures.Communicate results in written and oral formats to parents/caregivers and to other relevant Prism team members.Evaluate using ongoing data collection the effectiveness of interventions and modify as needed.Provide AAC services including assessment intervention maintenance and programming.Intervention and SupportsProvide evidencebased direct speech and language therapy services to young children Collaborate and consult with family members other Prism personnel (when applicable) and outside related service providers to support a cohesive clinical plan for patients.Plan and facilitate social skills groupsProviding parent and staff trainingsProfessional Responsibilities:Develop and maintain documentation necessary for payer requirements In collaboration with a mentor understand and utilize correct billing codes for sessions completed. Participate in the hiring and interview process as needed and appropriateParticipate in leadership centerwide and team meetings as neededConduct self in professional manner and be a model for Prisms core valuesFollow all ethical and professional guidelines put forth by the agency Department of Health ASHA and state of CT licensure board.
