You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe City of Missions Information Technology Division is seeking an analytical problem solver with excellent communication and troubleshooting skills to join our multidisciplinary team as a fulltime User Support Technician I.
You will perform a variety of technical and operational tasks in the provision of computer support and problem resolution services. You will be responsible for investigating and resolving software and hardware incidents; referring major and unresolved problems to appropriate senior technical staff; performing a variety of system administration tasks; assisting in the evaluation of hardware and software and installing and configuring same; and providing basic staff training.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will have completed a oneyear certificate program in computer technology or a related discipline at a technical institute or community college and have a minimum of 1year related experience in a similar computer system support environment. You must have sound knowledge of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) and the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework. The ability to obtain and maintain RCMP Reliability/Security Clearance Level II (Secret) is mandatory.
Additional Information :
The 2025 rate of pay for this CUPE position is $36.91 per hour plus full benefits including pension upon completion of probation.
We also offer a 9day fortnight schedule (extended hours for nine days and one day off every two weeks).
