Job Summary:
Park Hotel Kenmare is seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Reservations & Events Manager. This role is integral in managing reservations operations optimising room revenue and ensuring a seamless booking experience in alignment with the hotels luxury brand standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in highend hospitality properties exceptional organisational skills and a passion for delivering unparalleled customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the reservations department to ensure seamless and efficient booking processes.
- Maintain the highest level of guest customer service and care ensuring all reservations inquiries (phone email online) are handled professionally and efficiently.
- Implement and oversee revenue optimisation strategies in collaboration with the Sales team.
- Ensure accurate room inventory management and coordinate with the Sales and Front Office teams to maximise occupancy and revenue.
- Train mentor and lead the reservations team to uphold the hotels standards of excellence.
- Monitor and analyse reservations data to identify trends forecasting demand adjusting pricing strategies accordingly.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel services amenities and promotions to effectively upsell and crosssell.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and industry standards maintaining accuracy in all reservationsrelated transactions.
- Foster relationships with VIP guests travel agencies and corporate clients to enhance customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales to implement promotional strategies for various booking channels.
- Address and resolve any guest concerns related to reservations in a timely and professional manner.
- Plan coordinate and execute luxury events including corporate meetings weddings galas and private functions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients ensuring their event requirements are met to the highest standards.
- Work closely with the food & beverage and operations teams to deliver flawless event .
- Develop event packages and pricing structures to enhance revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee event logistics including venue setup audiovisual arrangements catering and guest accommodations.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors suppliers and external partners to ensure highquality service delivery.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Business or a related field preferred but not essential.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in a luxury hotel reservations or front office environment.
- Strong knowledge of hotel property management systems (e.g. Opera Hotsoft Guestline or a similar PMS and CRS).
- Proven track record of revenue management pricing strategies and yield management.
- Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Detailoriented with strong organisational and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
