Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following: Screens and/or evaluates students who have been referred to occupational therapy in the areas of fine motorperformance coordination perceptual motor performance sensory processing and selfregulation and activities of dailyliving/functional skills (such as written productions and classroom tool use) with emphasis on present level ofperformance as related to academic functioning. Provides direct occupational therapy consultation or monitoring for selected students who are eligible for such services.Train special and general education staff parents and other team members on specific interventions. Consults and collaborates with teachers and other specialists regarding appropriate interventions motor activitiesselfhelp skills sensory needs adaptations and special equipment or assistive devices as necessary. Maintains close communication with special education teachers classroom teachers other staff and parents concerningstudents performance. Maintains accurate records of students evaluated and served in occupational therapy program; including assessmentresults IEP progress and other documentation or reports as needed. Participates in designated Team meetings conferences and periodic reviews involving assessment programming andreevaluation decisions. Schedules occupational therapy evaluation and service times/locations with teachers and other providers. Maintain appropriate records and reports. Collect data on progress on goals and objectives for each student and meet allrequired timelines. Conduct assessments write comprehensive report results and adheres to criteria in area of special education eligibilityas well as mandated evaluation timelines.
