Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and customerfocused Bar Staff to join our team in Edinburgh United Kingdom. As a member of our bar team you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing exceptional service to our patrons.
- Greet customers warmly and take drink orders promptly
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to specification
- Maintain a clean and organised bar area ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Offer knowledgeable recommendations on drinks and menu items
- Assist in stock management and inventory control
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service of food items
- Monitor customers consumption and practise responsible serving of alcohol
- Resolve customer queries and concerns in a professional and friendly manner
- Contribute to creating a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for all patrons
Qualifications :
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Basic knowledge of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages
- Excellent attention to detail ensuring each drink is prepared to perfection
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions
- Positive cando attitude and willingness to learn and expand skills
- Team player mentality with the ability to work collaboratively
- Previous bar or hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a bar setting is beneficial
