Role Outline

As an Occupational Health Advisor you will provide expert guidance and support in the development and implementation of occupational health policies and procedures. You will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive occupational health service including health surveillance risk assessments fitness for work assessments and health promotion activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preemployment health assessments and provide fitness for work advice.
  • Manage and carry out health surveillance programmes in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
  • Provide expert advice on workrelated health issues and sickness absence management.
  • Develop and implement health promotion initiatives to enhance employee wellbeing.
  • Work closely with HR Health & Safety and line managers to support the management of occupational health cases.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records in accordance with GDPR and professional standards.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety.
  • Keep up to date with current occupational health practices and legislative requirements.

This is a parttime position working in Horsham 34 days and will be a mix of onsite and home working.

Skills

Registered Nurse (Part 1
Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health Degree/Diploma
IT literacy and competence
Excellent communicator with a range of stakeholders
Clear evidence of managerial experience
Demonstrates a clear understanding of professional accountability in the scope of professional practice
Approachable polite and friendly to build and maintain strong working relationships and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment

Education & Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Nursing or Occupational Health
Diploma
