Job Description
- Unloading freight from Inbound Trailers
- Loading Outbound trailers
- Distributing freight to P and D drivers
- Marking shipments with Identifying Information
- Documenting Overages shortages and damages
- Reweighing Inbound and Outbound freight
- Provide support to dock foreman
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and good knowledge of Canadian Geography is an asset.
- Dock Experience is also an asset
- The ideal candidate will be able to successfully and safely operate all dock equipment pertinent to the position
- Checking manifests and inspecting inbound/outbound shipments.
- Assist with the clean up in and around the terminal
- Perform routine dock checks
- Assist customers picking up/dropping freight.
- Reweighing and cubing freight
- Ability to follow Health & Safety and Company policies
- Some lifting is required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
AS 400 and m trac experience (will train the right candidate)
forklift experience
tdg experience
team player
positive attitude
works well under pressure
