Job Description
Join our amazing production team in Commerce CA (just north of the Citadel). We are looking for a Maintenance Technician 3 to work on the 2nd shift.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Effectively diagnose mechanical electrical network and computer hardware/software in assigned area (facility machinery equipment etc.. Make timely and accurate repairs as necessary during production. Utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair modification and maintenance of equipment.
- Preventative Maintenance: Inspect machinery for potential problems on a daily basis. Documents problems and schedules work/repairs as appropriate. Respond to all assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner. Responsible for performing preventive maintenance (PM) activities in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan. These activities will be recorded using proper PM sheets.
- Production Support: Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance requests on the production floor. Train production technicians in the proper setup and copy troubleshooting techniques. Provide training and assistance to production technicians as needed to help maximize production output and minimize downtime through the utilization of proper production techniques and handling practices.
- Administrative: Perform inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory. Inform Supervisor of parts and equipment used from inventory. Record maintenance activities using the proper computer application or paperwork. Provide training and coaching to new maintenance technicians and inspect their work.
- Housekeeping/Other: Perform housekeeping duties required of maintenance staff including work area cleanup machine and equipment cleanup sweeping up after cleanup and various other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Vocational / Technical Degree in Electromechanical or Machine Automation (Preferred)
- Associates Degree (Preferred)
- 5 years related electromechanical experience
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations/requirements.
- Able to read and understand schematics/blueprints.
- Must demonstrate good time management skills.
- Ability to retain knowledge of procedures and processes and understand complex instructions.
- Willingness to attend training classes to learn or enhance skills.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate area circumference volume etc.
- Serviceoriented personality.
- Ability to work independently on nights and weekend shifts.
- Ability to work a schedule with callin and overtime duties.
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language.
Additional Information :
The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $34.00 $38.00/ hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications skills experience certifications proficiency performance shift location and other business needs. Typically roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role in addition to the hourly rate of pay the total compensation package may also include overtime shift differential callin and/or standby pay.
