Job Description
In this fastpaced role reporting to the Chief of Staff Video Content youll work with the Sport and 9News teams to execute a multiplatform strategy integrating multimedia content into daily news.
Youll create and distribute engaging video content tailored to specific audiences aligning with 9News journalistic standards. Strong attention to detail copywriting skills and experience with tools like Adobe Photoshop Premiere and social platforms are essential along with a solid understanding of audience engagement across digital channels.
Day to day you will:
- Manage the distribution of video content for the 9News brand and all relevant digital platforms
- Executing tone of voice frequency of communication and moderation
- Management of all social media and digital video platforms associated with 9News
- Working with broader 9News and current affairs teams in the creation and publication of relevant original shareable and highquality content
- Drive innovation new media storytelling to bring 9News to new audiences
- Develop and proactively share insights/reports
- Manage original shot and mid form digital projects
- Deputise for the Chief of Staff where required
Qualifications :
What we would like to see on your resume:
- Previous experience working in a newsroom environment
- Demonstrated people leader skills and experience managing teams
- Working knowledge of content distribution strategies
- Demonstrated experience working with vertical video
- Practical experience working with Social Media platforms for a largescale business or brand preferable.
- Practical experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Ability to tell stories in multiple formats while thinking laterally about how best to tell stories to new audiences
- Prior experience in broadcast news and/or digital news is preferred.
- A genuine interest in daily news and current affairs
- Ability to analyse review and report on the effectiveness of content and audience sentiment.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
