About the Department of Facilities Management
Mount Royal Universitys Facilities Management department is responsible for the planning development construction design operation maintenance safety security and stewardship of all the buildings infrastructure sites and services within Mount Royals campus community. Through efficient and environmentally sustainable operation we offer grounds custodial building operations facilities planning security services and engineering professional services to provide a physical environment that supports and enhances our academic space for students and staff. Our team of professionals are dedicated to providing customer service excellence. Our staff respond to daily service requests and emergency / priority situations as needed.
About the Role
We are looking for energetic and motivated individuals to be part of our Groundskeeping team. If you like working outdoors and get satisfaction from a job well done wed like to hear from you.
There are 8 fulltime limited term positions available working 35 hours per week from April 22 2025 to August 29 2025.
Responsibilities
Grass cutting sidewalk edging line trimming
Cultivating beds watering weeding and pruning
Landscape construction painting equipment care
Underground irrigation installation and repair
Sweeping and litter pickup
Learning new skills
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Previous related experience an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment
Salary: $21.63 $27.35 per hour
