FUNCTION OF WORK:
Manages the procurement of goods and services on a statewide basis on behalf of all state agencies and participating local government units which includes the regulatory review of related contracts and grants.
LEVEL OF WORK:
Manager.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Broad direction from the State Procurement Deputy Director. May receive supervision from higherlevel personnel.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Subordinate staff consists of State Procurement Supervisors and State Procurement Analysts. Other combinations may be considered by SCS.
LOCATION OF WORK:
Division of Administration Office of State Procurement. Other locations may be approved by SCS.
JOB DISTINCTIONS:
Differs from State Procurement Supervisor by the presence of managerial responsibility for one or more statewide procurement functions.
Differs from State Procurement Assistant Director by the absence of responsibility for serving as a technical consultant and subject matter expert for the largest and most complex statewide procurement functions to include final review and delegated approval authority at the highest level.
