INSTRUCTIONAL DELIVERY:
Prepare and deliver high quality instruction and facilitate the learning of students. Develop appropriate course syllabi and instructional plans and organize daily classes utilizing a variety of creative/innovative techniques.
INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT:
Fulfill assigned schedule maintain accurate student records maintain instructional environment with emphasis on safety equipment security where applicable and ensure opportunities for student/participant evaluation.
STUDENT RETENTION AND PLACEMENT:
Performs student advisement such that students are provided with timely accurate and comprehensive information. Collaborate with the Office of Student Success to ensure students receive current information on tutoring and other programs designed to increase retention.
PROGRAM RECRUITMENT & PROMOTION:
Participate in related tours and recruitment events. Assist in department/program planning for recruitment.
TEAMWORK & SERVICE:
Demonstrates a willingness to be of service and exhibits pleasant and courteous behavior toward customers (students parents employers and media) organizational coworkers and other general public contacts. Maintains flexibility including availability for evening weekend or summer assignment as appropriate; able to work effectively in a team environment; commitment to the mission vision and values of the college.

Effectively using technology to enhance learning experiences.
Required Skills knowledge and certifications or licenses
Indepth knowledge and technical aptitude in the Biomedical/HTM field of expertise
The faculty member must be an excellent communicator and have exceptional organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of curriculum development to align with industry standards.
Demonstrates how to Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections scheduled maintenance electrical safety inspections (ESI) and operation verification procedures (OVP) on complex and intricate biomedical equipment
Demonstrates how to repair install and calibrate complex and intricate biomedical equipment
Demonstrates how to Work with direct and document the activities of subcontractors vendors and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery
Demonstrate how to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database to include the inventory performance assurance (PA) schedules nomenclature and service history
Demonstrates how to Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) including all regulatory agency compliances and other applicable policies and procedures
Completes written clinical performance evaluation form in timely manner of students
Ability to participate in professional development activities.
Ability to participate in recruiting and promotional activities. Ability to follow established TSTC policies and procedures.
Demonstrate competency with use of technology that supports learning and teaching; Maintains a flexible schedule including availability for evening weekend or summer assignment as appropriate
Preferred Skills knowledge and certifications or licenses
The candidate should be able to perform the following skills and tasks:
Provided functional supervision in lab training environments and utilize effective teaching strategies and classroom management skills.
Certifications: Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology (CABT) Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) ; Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES) or Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES)
Certifications: OSHA 6S Infection Control OSHA 10 Authorized Trainer
Excellent assessment skills Time management Leadership in the classroom Communication with students
Maintaining boundaries with faculty/student public speaking
Troubleshoot (PM) Preventive Maintenance Diagnoses medical equipment
Catalog inventory and Networking skills
Ability to setup equipment networks and troubleshoot connectivity issues
General knowledge of DC AC and Digital circuits
Exceptional Lab and Classroom management skills
Preferred prior teaching experience.
Education and Experience
Associates Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology/ 3 years minimum documented work experience in the Biomedical/ HTM field
