Overview:
The Automotive Mobility Technician at Ilderton Conversion of Charleston will be responsible for the maintenance repair and optimization of our Mobility Vehicles. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems electronics and emerging technologies. We provide training for technicians to understand mobility specific technology and equipment. The successful candidate for this role will enjoy a competitive base wage plus excellent benefits including health dental and vision plans 401K life insurance and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
- Providing extraordinary customer service to both existing and new customers.
- Installation and maintenance of specialty equipment and standard manufacturer equipment.
- Perform diagnostics and repair of vehicles. Used vehicle inspections to get them ready for the sales department and diagnosing vehicles for customers.
- General vehicle maintenance and repair (oil changes tire replacement wheel end work) Perform diagnostics and repair to specialty vehicles.
- Mobility equipment installation. (hand controls left foot accelerators transfer seats and more) WE WILL TEACH YOU!
- Commercial work equipment installation. (Hydraulic based lifts and work van builds)
Qualifications:
- Experience as an automotive technician/mechanic.
- Previous experience working in the automotive industry or comparable industry.
- Willingness to tackle challenging projects and problem solve.
- Must be able to manage time spent on repairs with minimal supervision.
- Customer service mentality.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both oral and written.
- Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
