One of out clients is looking to engage a Senior IT Project Manager
Candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements to be considered for this role:
- Minimum of 10 years of experiencing leading Information Technology projects
- Minimum 5 years experience implementing or upgrading ERPs and their modules in an organization
- Minimum of 35 years experience preparing budgets
- Experience assisting with the preparation of business cases for IT projects
Location and Hours:
- Hybrid (remote and onpremises at the Client Winnipeg office location)
- Travel to Winnipeg every other week as required for onsite project coordination.
- 8 hours daily Monday to Friday (excluding stat holidays and mandatory time off as specified by Client)
- Core business hours are between 7:00am5:00 pm (Central Time)
Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration project from a 32bit to a 64bit system ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruptions.
- Assess and reverse unnecessary customizations to align with standard system configurations.
- Plan organize and manage some or all aspects of a project including project initiation planning and closure. Projects will vary in complexity duration and approach
- Budget development tracking and variance reporting
- Resource planning and assignment
- Project tracking and status reporting
- Responsible for coordinating reports and documentation that support the collection of and review of initiatives within the portfolio
- Issue management including issue logging tracking and escalation
- Project change management utilizing the change control process to manage changes to project scope budget and schedule
- Quality management including review and assurance of deliverables prior to acceptance
- Risk management including risk assessment contingency planning tracking risk status and initiating contingency plans
- Communication management including communication planning and of the plan
- Deliverable acceptance process including identification of who will be accepting project deliverables and the process that will be used
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years experience managing Information Technology projects
- Minimum 5 years experience implementing or upgrading ERPs and their modules in an organization
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience preparing budgets
- Valid PMP certificationconsidered an asset
- Prince2 Practitioner certification considered an asset
- Expertise in project lifecycles and project planning including resource cost and schedule estimation
- Experience developing business cases
- Experience planning and managing projects in a Public Sector organization
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
- Strong facilitation skills
- Strong analysis and problem resolution skills
- Strong communication skills oral written and presentation

- Must have Windows based computer with standard Windows applications
- Must have own Visio license
- Must possess own communication device
