    Position Overview:

    Watertown Mayer is seeking a dedicated and detailoriented School Psychologist to join our team. This role involves spending 80 of the time conducting and completing assessments for special education evaluations and leading child study meetings. The remaining 20 of the position focuses on enhancing the districts MultiTiered System of Supports (MTSS) by attending meetings and collaborating with educational staff to improve student outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Special Education Evaluations 80

    • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for special education evaluations including cognitive socialemotional and behavioral assessments.

    • Interpret assessment results to determine eligibility for special education services and provide detailed accurate reports.

    • Participate in IEP meetings providing datadriven recommendations and collaborating with team members to support student needs.

    • Lead and facilitate child study meetings collaborating with educators and parents to discuss student progress intervention strategies and evaluation outcomes.

    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

    MTSS Process Improvement 20

    • Attend districtlevel MTSS meetings to support the development and implementation of evidencebased interventions and strategies.

    • Collaborate with educators and administrators to improve the effectiveness of tiered support systems.

    • Analyze student data to inform instructional practices and intervention strategies.

    • Provide guidance on data collection progress monitoring and datadriven decisionmaking.

    • Collaborate with general education and special education teachers on initial evaluations to ensure accurate interpretation of data.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field required.

    • Certification: Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.

    • Experience: Previous experience conducting special education assessments and knowledge of MTSS frameworks preferred.

    • Skills: Strong analytical communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
