BASIC FUNCTION
This position will help implement workforce development goals of the VT EPSCoR 5year grant including helping recruit undergraduate students for a 10week summer research internship and conduct outreach to schools and community groups to meet the grant deliverables.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the CWPE Program Manager to ensure all aspects of the program meet the deadlines and deliverables outlined in the grant including providing highlights and reporting program participant outcomes.
- Perform administrative operations related to Vermont UVM EPSCoR & CWPE STEM programs.
- Meet monthly with EPSCoR team to provide progress updates.
- Meet weekly with CWPE Program Manager to implement programmatic goals.
- Assist in maintaining program records and participant data.
- Participate in external training to develop new outreach skills and knowledge.
- Help to create an environment of valuing encouraging and supporting diversity in cultural ethnic gender and other individual differences in people.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Direct supervision received from VTSU CWPE Education Program Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
- 12 years of related experience.
Or a similar combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to foster collaboration working well at all levels within VT EPSCoR VTSU and across educational institutions statewide.
- Exhibit a high tolerance for multitasking and deadlinespecific duties and accuracy in the details.
- Strong analytical skills and mastery of technology in daily work.
- Studentcentered and serves students in areas related to their academic and career development.
- Committed to diversity and to advancing underrepresented groups in STEM.
- Ability to foster effective and positive working relationships with multiple partners to provide quality programs for students and teachers.
- Ability to plan and implement a variety of educational initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of computers word processing spreadsheets and database maintenance required
Skills:
- Experience with database management and accounting desirable
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
Abilities:
- Occasional afterhours and weekends required.
- Demonstrated ability to support a diverse community and promote diverse perspectives cultures in an inclusive environment.
Location: VTSU Williston Campus with predicted travel to other campuses field sites and organizations located statewide. Hybrid/Remote working will be possible.
