Job Description
RPO Recruitments client is a great mining company in Rustenburg North West which is seeking the expertise of a Plant General Manager to join their team of professionals.
Responsibilities
- Identify and assess level of baseline risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business financial legal issues people equipment material environment
- Consider the level of risk apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives minimum requirements etc.
- Direct and manage the work force and material resources to meet production targets within the approved budgets
- Plan for short and longterm production and maintenance strategies to stimulate process improvement and sustain production levels of ferrochrome in line with the companys corporate objectives
- Manage Continuous Improvement through Operational Excellence
- Ensure effective cost control systems are in place with reference to operating and capital expenditure as well as resource utilisation in order to maintain costs within the approved budget
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Degree in Metallurgical Chemical Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 10 12 years experience in a smelter mining environment
- Minimum 5 years as Plant Manger / 3.1a appointment
- Salary: R2.8Mil/yr R3Mil/yr
