Job Description

As a parttime Accounts Payable Coordinator you will coordinate all aspects of accounts payable reconcile APrelated balance sheet accounts and handle month and yearend duties. The Accounts Payable Coordinatorwill review all coded invoices and credit card transactions for accuracy make necessary changes and communicate with directors and cardholders to ensure the legality and accuracy of transactions. We are looking for someone who is adaptable and open to new challenges.

This parttime position offers a flexible schedule of 30 hours per week with sixhour workdays Monday to Friday. This role can be a hybrid schedule after training is completed however it requires that you must be in the office on Thursdays. Some essential functions of the job are but not limited to:

  • Ensure the AP process is completed accurately and timely by reviewing all coded invoices received from administrative directors (and purchasing personnel) for accuracy make any needed changes and communicate the need for the change to the director (or purchaser) to ensure accuracy and legality of the transaction and to help the director understand the overall impact to their budget.
  • Review all company invoice and credit card transactions including all coding explanations and receipts submitted from each cardholder for accuracy make any needed changes and communicate the need for the change to the cardholder to ensure accuracy and legality of the transaction.
  • Assist the Assistant Controller/Controller with interim financial reporting primarily with month end and year end reports by maintaining reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts reconcile various subsidiary accounts to the General Ledger and identify and correct any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and post all necessary AP and credit card transactions for CN Software a wholly owned subsidiary including all relevant weekly month end and year end entries and processes as appropriate.
  • Prepare and assist with other accounting related reporting analysis or reconciliation needs as needed.
  • Back up other staff within the accounting department as needed.
  • Establish annual goals in line with the overall team and firm including DEI and Sustainability.
  • Meet regularly with the Assistant Controller/Controller.
  • Responsible for reviewing and maintaining individual section in the procedure on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications:

Associates degree in accounting or a combination of education and directly related work experience.

2 years experience in internal accounting in a service industry organization including extensive experience with month end and year end entries and reporting adjustments.

You must successfully pass a credit check at any time to remain eligible for this position.

Pay Rate Range: $24.63 per hour minimum to $34.48 per hour maximum pay range
