Job Description
The Superintendent of Schools announces the following positions to support
students in the Extended School Year (ESY) program this summer.
Adaptive Physical Education Teacher
Extended School Year Program
DATES: 7/7/20258/1/2025 2 days per week Monday thru Friday
HOURS: 7:45 am to 12:45 pm 5 hours per day
or
8:15 am to 1:15pm 5 hours per day
TITLE: Adaptive Physical Education Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree or higher in Physical Education MA DESE Physical
Education License required Experience working with children with
disabilities
At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
REPORTS TO: Site Coordinator/Program Director
SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES:These responsibilities may include but are not
limited to:
Develops and leads developmentally appropriate physical activities for
all students. Appropriate activities include adaptations to physical
activities games sports or exercise programs for both individual and
group participation.
Ability to adapt common physical activities sports or exercises to suit
a wide range of age groups and physical abilities
Focus on learning the individual needs of each student and catering
activities to support their physical development while creating a safe
environment
Perform other appropriate duties at the direction of Site
Coordinator/Program Director
Strong communication skills
Team player
Good attendance
Be organized and able to multitask
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Hourly rate in accordance with
the FRPS Educators Association Contract
