Job Description
PartTime: 15/30 teaching hours per week 20 working hours)
Start date: 1st August 2025
Limited initially until 31st July 2027
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES
- German Teacher in Primary School grade 1 to 5
- Teach German (Language and Literature and German Language Acquistion) through the PYP framework
- Support concept based inquiry in German teaching and learning
- Work in an inclusive environment with a diverse cohort of students
- Differentiate to accommodate individual needs
- Plan assess and report against clear learning outcomes
- Collaborate with others and embrace opportunities for team teaching
- Have strong beliefs that all students can access and succeed in German Language and that the cornerstone of student confidence is the acquisition of foundational content skills and understandings
- Have a keen interest in promoting student wellbeing through teaching and learning in the German classroom and beyond
YOUR QUALIFICATION
- Primary Teaching certification with an experience in IB PYP energetic and internationallyminded
- Primary German Teaching certification with experience in IB PYP energetic and internationallyminded
- Team player resilient positive & has a growth mindset. Willing to learn and take risks
- Ability to motivate and inspire students and colleagues alike
- High level of initiative willing to work in an ambitious and dynamic school. Effective practice to utilize technology within teaching and learning
- Commitment to academic excellence matched by a belief in educating the whole person

BBIS Berlin Brandenburg International School is an independently run stateapproved inclusive Englishmedium day and boarding school serving the internationallyminded community of Germanys capital region and beyond. As one of Europes leading International Baccalaureate (IB) schools BBIS proudly offers three IB programmes in the Primary Middle and Diploma years of schooling. In the current school year 2024/25 our school teaches around 900 students who represent over 70 nationalities.
