You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSUMMARY: The Material Handler I is responsible for receiving inspecting unloading and storing raw and finished goods material within the Business Unit. This role involves safely moving materials properly stacking grating panels loading transportation trucks following overhead loading guidelines and ensuring clean and presentable material yards. The Material Handler I will use Epicor to accurately transact material movement and complete daily inspection sheets. The role requires attending safety training training new hires on forklifts and overhead cranes and setting a strong example of OGIs safety culture by following all guidelines. Work is fastpaced requiring independence diligence and adherence to safety and quality standards. Performance is reviewed by a supervisor or senior worker to ensure quality and accuracy.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee will engage in repetitive movement tasks which require standing walking stooping bending reaching grasping pushing and pulling grating material of various sizes and weights for extended periods. Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques assistance from another employee or available equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee will regularly work on the production floor requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Exposure to noise dust heat and cold is common. The environment involves machine and tool hazards requiring strict adherence to safety rules and standards.
