Job Description
We are looking for a talented PR Writer to join a growing nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in public relations media outreach and content creation. This role requires excellent writing skills the ability to develop engaging press releases and articles and a strong understanding of media relations. The PR Writer will be responsible for pitching various media outlets and securing placements to increase the organizations visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and write press releases articles and other media materials.
- Pitch stories to print and digital media outlets.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media contacts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling narratives.
- Monitor media coverage and track PR campaign performance.
- Ensure all content aligns with the organizations mission and messaging.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in public relations journalism or content writing.
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to develop compelling story angles and pitch to media.
- Experience with media outreach and relationship building.
- Knowledge of digital and traditional media landscapes.
- Selfmotivated creative and able to work in a fastpaced environment.
Salary: $60k$75k
Location: Fulltime inoffice position in Lakewood NJ.
