Job Description
SELs Process Engineering team is seeking a visionary leader to guide a talented and experienced technical team to invent the future of inspection systems in printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) manufacturing. This position will oversee several dozen existing optical inspection systems (solder paste inspection 3D automated optical inspection) and will be responsible for development and of a new technology roadmap in partnership with Production and Engineering leaders. Future focus areas will include expanded optical inspection xray inspection and partnership with electrical test to ensure short feedback loops and coverage as our factories continue to grow.

As an Engineering Manager Inspection Systems a typical day will include the following:
Leads multiple disciplines/technologies/processes keeping cost schedule and performance objectives in mind.
Assists portfolio planning and longterm strategy.
Performs management activities to attract hire supervise and develop individual contributors to meet the goals of the group.
Participates at external meetings and presents at large internal meetings/forums.
Model teach and apply SEL Values Principles of Operations and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
Understand. Create. Simplify.

This role might be for you if you have:
A B.S. in Electrical Engineering Computer Science Physics or related field
8 years of related engineering or management experience
Strong technical knowledge in one or more engineering disciplines/technologies
Demonstrated ability to design/produce/support successful products/processes
An ability to manage product line/process problems requiring creativity ingenuity and guidance from manager
Strong desire to develop employees and lead projects
Ability to define general approaches and specific solutions to technical problems
Strong writing documentation and speaking skills
An ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
An ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications:
Data analysis experience
Experience with optical and xray inspection systems
Hardware and mechanical product design experience
Experience with PCBA manufacturing and related equipment programming
Project management experience and associated certification (PMP)
Capital planning experience

Pay Range Data:
New hires generally start between $91100 $142700. We base our starting pay offer on location and jobrelated factors such as candidate experience training knowledge and skills. Our salary ranges are determined by job responsibility and location.
