Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our passionate team of educators. The ideal candidate will foster a love of literature writing and critical thinking in students while cultivating a collaborative and engaging classroom environment.Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement proficiencybased instruction and assessment aligned with Vermonts ELA standards.
- Foster strong supportive relationships with students to encourage academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues in a teamoriented environment to enhance curriculum development and instructional practices.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technological tools to support diverse learning styles and needs.
- Communicate effectively with students parents and school staff to ensure student success.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current in educational best practices.
- Support and contribute to the schools commitment to building an inclusive and respectful learning environment.
- Valid Vermont Educator License or eligibility for Vermont licensure with an endorsement in English Language Arts (Grades 712.
- Experience with proficiencybased instruction and grading
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to relationshipbuilding with students and colleagues.
- A masters degree in English or related field and willingness to engage in our concurrent enrollment program with CCV a plus .
- Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
