DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Support the planning development characterization debug and deployment of system level and burnin equipment hardware used for functional and reliability testing of AMDs microprocessors and graphics devices.

SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assist in defining new system level test and burnin equipment hardware designs.
  2. Design develop and execute test plans on test hardware.
  3. Assist in deploying new hardware designs to internal customers and test facilities and provide debug support.
  4. Collect and analyze data from the utilization of test equipment hardware.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  1. Knowledge of modern computer architecture.
  2. Knowledge of lab test equipment: oscilloscopes logic analyzers and multimeters.
  3. General knowledge of circuit schematics and board layout.
  4. General knowledge of programming/scripting syntax.
  5. General knowledge of statistical data analysis.
  6. Microsoft standard apps (i.e. Office).
  7. Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
  8. Clear written and verbal communication and data presentation.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Working towards Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or related field of study.
