This vacancy will be filled by promotion of a current permanent status Office of State Procurement employee. A permanent status employee may be required to serve a new probationary period in lieu of promotion.
This job has aSpecial Entrance Rate of $2236.80 Biweekly.
This position also has a retention pay of $1.00 per hour for each hour worked.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Six years of experience in procurement contracts or grants management financial management accounting or auditing; OR
Six years of fulltime work experience in any field plus three years of experience in procurement contracts or grants management financial management accounting or auditing; OR
A bachelors degree plus three years of experience in procurement contracts or grants management financial management accounting or auditing; OR
An advanced degree plus two years of experience in procurement contracts or grants management financial management accounting or auditing.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of fulltime work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
Designation as a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) a Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) or a National Institute of Governmental Purchasing Certified Procurement Professional (NIGPCPP) will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
FUNCTION OF WORK:
Supervises the procurement of goods and services on a statewide basis on behalf of all state agencies and participating local government units which includes the regulatory review of related contracts and grants.
LEVEL OF WORK:
Supervisor.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Broad from a State Procurement Manager. May receive supervision from higherlevel personnel.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Subordinate staff consists of State Procurement Analysts and/or State Procurement Specialists. Other combinations may be considered by SCS.
LOCATION OF WORK:
Division of Administration Office of State Procurement. Other locations may be approved by SCS.
JOB DISTINCTIONS:
Differs from State Procurement Specialist by the presence of direct supervisory responsibilities.
Differs from State Procurement Manager by the absence of managerial responsibility for one or more statewide procurement functions.
