The music teacher will be responsible for the following in addition to other duties as assigned by their manager:Working with and for Students:Developing and implementing curriculum aligned with MA Curriculum FrameworksDifferentiating instructionSupport plan and/or colead ServiceLearning projectsAdvising students through daily Connections class (homeroom)Input academic and behavioral data on the school data management systemAnalyze student data and monitor student progress through standardsbased assessmentsOffering extracurricular programs in music (e.g. band)Teaching a variety of electives courses for grades 612 such as general music chorus keyboard guitar and band or strings instruments (preferably both)Supporting school events such as the City of Salems Haunted Happenings Parade and school musicalsWorking with and for Families:Participate in Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences three times per yearHost quarterly Capstone eventsCommunicate regularly with families about academic and social progressWorking with and for ColleaguesBuild and maintain strong school culture centered on student achievementWork collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the success of the school missionParticipate in weekly professional development sessionsParticipate in weekly grade level team meetingsInputting academic and behavioral data on the school data management systemWho Your Are:You are a skilled educator.
