Location: Springboro or Franklin OH
FullTime
Schedule: Any Shift 1st 2nd or 3rd shift.
About Us
Sunstar Engineering Americas (SEA) a highly successful manufacturer of automotive adhesives sealants and coating products is seeking an experienced individual to join our team.
About the Position
Responsible for performing quality testing on inprocess batches finished product raw materials and/or customer samples in a timely manner. Ensuring that the laboratory meets specified requirements and for keeping laboratory testing up to date. Performs duties with supervision. Overtime as required by Manager.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and test samples of products and raw materials according to procedures.
- Identify and resolve nonstandard results coordinating with supervisors and engineers.
- Ensure equipment is clean calibrated and in good working condition.
- Support instrument validation calibration activities and maintain records.
- Document test results clearly using SEA LIMS and MS365 applications.
- Create labels for materials and samples ensuring proper identification and hazardous communication.
- Participate in APQP projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean safe and organized lab environment to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Chemistry Engineering or related field with 2 years of lab experience or equivalent education.
- Strong technical aptitude math and reading skills and proficiency in Microsoft software products.
- Requires standing for extended periods and handling physical tasks (lifting up to 50 pounds pushing/pulling carts up to 1200 pounds).
- Requires specific vision abilities including close vision depth perception and focus adjustment.
- Exposure to environmental factors like fumes airborne particles mechanical parts vibration and loud noise levels.
