Job Description

Position Summary
THIS IS A TIME LIMITED POSITION The Multicultural Mental Health Fellowship Program aims to provide advanced training/supervision financial support professional development activities as well as professional guidance to mental health clinicians. This fulltime licensedeligible mental health provider will join the UNC Mental Health & Performance Psychology staff to provide clinical and sport psychology services to studentathletes in an effort to enhance their personal academic and athletic success within the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Intercollegiate Athletics Department. This position is a fulltime employee of the University Campus Health Center and its Sports Medicine Unit working collaboratively with a team of mental health professionals athletic trainers dietitians and physicians providing comprehensive and coordinated psychological services including individual and group psychotherapy crisis intervention consultation outreach and performance enhancement services to varsity studentathletes. Postgraduate training and supervision will be provided based on developmental needs and areas of clinical interest. Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
* Engaged in the process of obtaining supervised hours leading to licensure as Licensed Psychologist clinical professional counselor LPC LGPC LCPC LMHC Clinical Social Worker LMSW LCSW Marriage & Family Therapist LMFT or Licensed Psychological Associate LPA in the state of North Carolina. Ability to communicate and interact effectively respectfully and appropriately with diverse multicultural populations in the Department the University and the community. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with colleagues clients faculty staff and parents. Demonstrated multicultural competence. Excellent written and electronic communication. Able to efficiently and effectively maintain documentation and recordkeeping utilizing EMR . Capable of handling multiple tasks in a high stress environment. Able to accurately interpret and adhere to NCAA and ACC Conference Rules UNC Academic Standards Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. Able to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software. *Able to successfully complete educational NCAA and criminal background checks which will be required of the successful applicant.

Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Specialized training in sport and performance psychology (e.g. coursework practicum etc. and interest in pursuing Certified Mental Performance Consultant CMPC credential through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. Demonstrated experience in addressing issues of diversity though culturallyinformed individual counseling groups and/or outreach efforts. Evidence of experiences in and commitment to minority mental health research advocacy and policy. Other areas of professional interest (ex. Substance Abuse mTBI LGBTQ) for clinical practice research advocacy and policy *Experience working with college students with diverse backgrounds.

Work Schedule
MF 85 occasional evenings/weekends
