Job Description

Job Title: Sr. Specialist Systems Engineer

Job Code: 22041

Job Location: Greenville TX (OnSite)

Job Schedule: 1st Shift 9/80

Job Description:

The Sr. Specialist Systems Engineer (SE) performs technical planning system integration verification and validation and troubleshooting for total systems and or subsystems. The Sr. Specialist SE is part of a team that supports the requirements design development test and integration of complex specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communication platforms.

Essential Functions:

  • Understand physical architectures incorporating voice video and data capability across multiple security domains.
  • Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements.
  • Understand test integration verification and validation planning.
  • Write effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
  • Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements.
  • Perform requirement traceability.
  • Develop and evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness.
  • Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements.
  • Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system designs.
  • Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to nontechnical professionals.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret (SCI) security clearance.
  • Identify and solve problems using logical engineering thought processes.
  • Functional working knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel Visio and PowerPoint.
  • Test integration verification and validation planning.
  • Write effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
  • Understand requirement traceability.
  • Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to nontechnical professionals.
  • Familiarity with Aircraft Maintenance Manuals FAA Documentation. (Regulations Advisory Circulars Airworthiness Directives etc.
  • Engineering efforts involving FAACertified general/transport category aircraft.
  • Troubleshooting aircraft systems including diagnosis of malfunctions.
  • Working with subcontractors and US Government customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
