Job Description and Responsibilities:

The Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University invites applications for a ninemonth nontenure track position in Mass Communication as a ProfessionalinResidence in Spring 2025. Applications will be reviewed beginning in August 2024.

We seek a distinguished communication practitioner to teach three courses per semester in the Manship School undergraduate core curriculum and/or courses in public relations strategic communication corporate communication crisis communications and courses related to their areas of expertise.

A candidate hired as a professionalinresidence would also supervise undergraduate research and creative work. They will also develop a portfolio of service activities including support for the Manship Schools efforts to promote more diverse and inclusive media professions.

Teach three public relations courses per semester. 60

Serve as faculty advisor for the PRSSA at LSU student organization. 20

Participate in service activities in support of the Manship School. 20

Required QualificationsProfessionalinResidence applicants:

Masters degree in Public Relations Mass Communication or related discipline and eight years of related experience. Accreditation in Public Relations credentials preferred.
