Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled SeniorOracle & SQL Database Administrator to manage maintain and optimizeour critical database systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Oracle(12c 19c) and Microsoft SQL Server along with experience in backup& recovery performance tuning and high availability solutions. Thisrole requires offhours production support including weekends as part ofan oncall rotation schedule.

The candidate should be a proactiveproblem solver detailoriented and a strong team player who thrives in afastpaced environment while ensuring database reliability security andperformance.

Key Responsibilities

Database Administration &Maintenance

• Install configure patch and upgrade Oracle 12c 19c) and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  
• Manage and optimize cloudbased databases (AWS RDS Azure SQL).
  
• Ensure high availability through clustering replication and AlwaysOn technologies.
  
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies using RMAN (Oracle) and native SQL Server tools.
  
• Perform routine database health checks maintenance and monitoring.
  

Performance Tuning & Optimization

• Analyze and optimize SQL queries plans and indexing strategies to improve database performance.
  
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  
• Generate and analyze Oracle AWR ADDM reports and SQL Server performance metrics.
  

Security & Compliance

• Implement database security best practices including user access management encryption and auditing.
  
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry regulations.
  
• Apply critical patches updates and vulnerability fixes on a timely basis.
  

Automation & Scripting

• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell Bash Python) to streamline database administration tasks.
  
• Write and optimize PL/SQL (Oracle) and TSQL (SQL Server) stored procedures triggers and functions.
  

Disaster Recovery & HighAvailability

• Design and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) plans including Oracle Data Guard and SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups.
  
• Perform regular DR testing and failover validation.
  

Support & Collaboration

• Participate in oncall rotation for afterhours production support (including weekends).
  
• Work closely with development infrastructure and operations teams to optimize database performance.
  
• Document database processes troubleshooting steps and operational procedures.

Technical Skills

Oracle Database Administration 12c19c) Installation configuration performance tuning backup & recovery(RMAN).

SQL Server Administration Database tuning query optimization AlwaysOnclustering.

Cloud Databases AWS RDS Azure SQL PostgreSQL administration.

Scripting & Automation PowerShell Bash Python PL/SQL TSQL.
