Description
POSITION PURPOSE

Working within the Sales team this position has responsibility for responding to all Group and Event enquiries in order to maximize revenue & utilization of meeting space. This position also must make sure that all events are carried out to a 5* standard.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Work closely with the Sales Team to action enquiries and convert business.

Take responsibility & be empowered to make decisions in quoting for business adhering to the preset strategic guidelines.

Project a pleasant positive and professional image to all clients and team at all times.

Ensure site inspections are conducted in a methodical fashion adhering to the core standards of the department.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

Effectively manage all preset tasks on a dailybasis

Ensurebusiness block information is updated on a daily basis

Participate in departmental and Marriott courses as required

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILLSAND HABILITIES

Excellent sales &negotiationskills

Excellent organizational/administrative skills with office management experience

Good English and Spanish language knowledge is required German is a plus

Responsible and work independently

Previous experience in hotel travel & tourism service sector preferred

Knowledge of Opera sales & catering system and PMS

Team player

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education:

Bachelor degree required; additional education in sales and marketing fields preferred.

Grooming:

All employees must maintain a neat clean and wellgroomed appearance per Starwood standards.
