Summary of Job Responsibilities:
UMMG Staff Physician will provide high quality medical care to patients with endocrine diseases. The incumbent conducts examinations assesses and evaluates symptoms determines conditions and prescribes medical treatment or services.
Outline of additional responsibilities included but are not limited to:
Provide outpatient care to patients primarily at UHealth Main campus and satellite practices.
Provide inpatient care to patients at UHealthTower and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Engage in training of Endocrinology fellows residents and medical students.
Oversees midlevel medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staff.
Qualifications:
MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency
Valid American Board Certification in Endocrinology (or board eligible)
Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles procedures and techniques.
Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
Current BLS certification . ACLS (if applicable).
Valid DEA licensure
