Responsibilities
The Health Program Coordinator will work within the Center for Environmental Healths Outreach and Education Group and will coordinate tasks related to the Hudson River Fish Advisory Outreach Project. The incumbent will also contribute to creating outreach and communication deliverables for related programs. The Health Program Coordinator will work closely with Center for Environmental Health project teams and community stakeholders to contribute to identifying and maintaining partnerships contribute to the development and evaluation of outreach materials and strategies coordinate events collect data and maintain outreach databases and program tracking tools. The Health Program Coordinator will coordinate the fish advisory signage maintenance program which includes maintaining project databases and serving as the primary technical support for the Fish Advisory mapping program. The position involves travel and evening and weekend work.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in public health health education or promotion environmental science a social science or related field and two years of experience contributing to the coordination of program activities in a public health health health regulatory or human services related program; OR an Associates degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Masters degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Access database software Adobe Creative Suites and GIS mapping applications. Experience with video editing and coordinating teams in the creation of outreach materials. Experience with health promotion public health or environmental health programs. Experience working directly with community stakeholders.
Conditions of Employment
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting grant deliverables and contract deliverables is required.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Travel 2550 of the time will be required. A valid drivers license in good standing is required for areas not served by public transportation.
The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York New Jersey Connecticut Vermont or Massachusetts prior to hire. Telecommuting will be available.
This position may require occasional work on weekends afterhours and holidays.
