Job Description
A Sr. Software Engineer is curious and selfdriven to build and maintain multiterabyte operational marketing databases and integrate them with cloud technologies. Our databases typically house millions of individuals and billions of transactions and interact with various web services and cloudbased platforms. Once hired the qualified candidate will be immersed in the development and maintenance of multiple database solutions to meet global client business objectives
Job Description:
Must Have Skills:
- Database (SQL server / Snowflake / Teradata / Redshift / Vertica / Oracle / Big query / Azure DW etc.
- ETL (Extract Transform Load) tool (Talend Informatica SSIS DataStage Matillion)
- Python UNIX shell scripting Project & resource management
- Workflow Orchestration (Tivoli Tidal)
Good to have Skills:
- Experience in Cloud computing (one or more of AWS Azure GCP)
- SVN JIRA
Key Responsibilities
- Have 4 7 years exp.
- Individuals can play solo role which requires individual to do coding like if they are part of internal product team highly complex projects.
- Ability to design simple to medium data solutions for clients by using cloud architecture using Azure AWS or GCP
- Strong understanding of data warehousing data mart data modelling data structures databases and data ingestion and transformation.
- Strong understanding of ETL Talend Informatica Datastage Ab Initio etc as well as database skills Oracle SQL server Teradata Vertica redshift Big query Azure DW etc.
- Good understanding of data modelling data structures databases and ETL processes
- Good understanding of relational and nonrelational databases and when to use them
- Good leadership and communication skills to collaborate with local leadership as well as our global teams to build best in class solutions.
- Provide full support to Client Data Scientists and Analytical Consultants working on marketing solution.
- Experience in relevant technologies required for project.
- Excellent knowledge of Unix scripting &/or Python.
- Cross functional team work internally and with external clients
- Strong project Management and organization skills
- Ability to lead 1 2 projects of team size 2 3 team members.
- Experience of code management systems which incudes Code review deployment cod
- Experience in Cloud computing one or more of AWS Azure GCP is plus
