POSITION SUMMARY:
Supports administrators and teachers in the development and coordination of behavior and academic interventions for students. Works with teachers to promote various methods of learning for Tier 3 students. This position reports to the Administrator. This position is grantfunded thereby staffed year to year and is dependent on funding availability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides support to administrators teachers and students; specifically Tier 3 students.
Plans and confers with instructional staff concerning behavioral social academic and developmental needs of students.
Conferences with administrators coordinates and schedules SST meetings tracks Tier 3 students data and provides SST training.
Develops and conducts professional development activities regarding modification techniques that address behavioral social academic and developmental deficits.
Assists instructional staff with development of behavior contracts instructional strategies/techniques and interventions.
Reviews CCEIS intervention implementation data collection and provides direct support to teachers at assigned school.
All other duties as assigned and required in order to perform the above services.
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree or higher in educational related field required.
Minimum of three 3 years teaching experience required.
Minimum of three 3 years of teaching experience required.
Makes recommendations or decisions which usually affect the entire department/school.
Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) professional certification at T4 level or higher required.
Varied; supervisor is available to review established broad objectives; independent judgment is required.
Requires regular frequent contact and communication with internal personnel of influence (i.e. school administrative personnel).
Requires regular frequent contact and communication with external personnel of influence (i.e. different constituencies: external agencies parents community etc..
Excellent classroom management required. May be designated as a lead teacher or trainer.
Applies recommends and implements technology to improve the effectiveness of school operations.
Responsibility for the Welfare of Others: Constantly (Daily)
Normal classroom/school setting.
Must be able to stand and walk approximately seven 7 to seven and onehalf 7 hours per day.
Light duty On most occasions sitting at a desk or table; intermittently sitting standing or stooping. Light lifting or carrying; twenty 20 lbs. or less.
