Brief Overview
We are offering an opportunity for the right candidate to learn how to input data gathered from clinical documents onto patients medical records and this does offer the further progression to a GP Assistant role.
We are a training practice who has a great PPG supporting the surgery at our last CQC inspection we achieved outstanding in all areas.
Duties
The job will entail learning and developing our document and data handling process.
You will be responsible for
- Scanning and attaching documents to patient medical records and correctly labelling them with the specialty.
- You will gather data from the documents and enter this on to records.
- As general practice evolves you will play a part in developing new processes to help the team become efficient and maintain accurate medical records for our patients.
Training
Training and support will be given to the apprentice from the experienced admin and clinical team. You will learn to identify the various documents that come into the surgery via the different routes. Attention to detail is key patient confidentiality must be maintained always. Whilst it can be a repetitive task your efficiency will allow further development and more responsibility to be taken on over time as you develop in the role. You will be a key member of the team. You will work towards completing a Level 3 Business Administration qualification.
Career Progression
The opportunity to train as a GP assistant would be a possibility after completing the apprenticeship. This will allow you to support the clinical team within the practice to a high and safe standard.
