Job Description

Job Summary

The candidate for this position will administer Quality Systems to improve internal and external quality for the Warren Michigan site.

Key Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Supervisor must have a strong knowledge of Quality fundamentals and will perform one or more of the following tasks:

  • Assist in the administration of the AS9100 QMS system across the organization
  • Participate in customer audits and the annual AS9100 surveillance / certification audit
  • Lead the closeout of NCs assigned from audits by working with process owners
  • Supervise Quality Technician I / II level associates (Salary)
  • Supervise unionized associates (Hourly)
  • Lead the Internal Audit program
  • Lead development of APQP procedures to support new project requirements
  • Audit procedures and work instruction documents with subject matter experts
  • Revise procedures work instructions forms and other Quality documentation
  • Navigate Aerospace customer portals / websites
  • Create inspection plans for machined components
  • Perform measurement system analysis
  • Perform secondary visual inspection and remeasurement of components
  • Become approved Designated Quality Release (DQR) agent for various customers
  • Work with QE and ME controlling and dispositioning nonconforming product
  • Participate in daily Gemba or GoandSee production meetings

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of experience in Quality / Inspection leadership roles
  • 3 years of experience working under a formal Quality Management System (AS9100 ISO TS etc.
  • Associates degree in Engineering related discipline preferred
  • Familiarity with metalworking or fabrication experience preferred
  • Must be able to read and work to Engineering drawings and technical Work Instructions
  • Must have experience with and knowledge of basic hand tools such as micrometers calipers height gages and other mechanical measurement devices
