Limited Duration: This is a fulltime limited duration position currently funded through June 30 2025. Continuation beyond that date is subject to available funding. The court is anticipating this position will be funded past this date.
If you are a current OJD regular status employee acceptance of a limited duration status position does not change your status to limited duration (although trial service may still apply). See Judicial Department Personnel Rule 6 for more information or contact your assigned HR Manager.

In this role
You will provide administrative support to the judge in court. For most of your day you will prepare the courtroom for the days proceedings swear in witnesses mark and maintain exhibits monitor proceedings and respond to security needs maintain audio and electronic records update the case management system and facilitate remote hearings.
As part of your role you will manage juries. This includes drawing empaneling and maintaining the transportation and security of jurors. You will serve as liaison between jurors the court and counsel for exhibits forms instructions and questions. You will also assist attorneys litigants and the public in using court services and answer questions about case status or court procedures.
Lastly you will back up the judicial assistant by preparing files for pretrial review preparing motions orders and judgments managing the judges docket and legal library retrieving case law assisting in case scheduling and tracking and reviewing documents filed with the court for accuracy and completeness.

Minimum Qualifications
(These must be evident in your resume or work history.
The qualified candidate must have at least three 3 or more years of responsible experience in a moderately complex office or business setting involving the processing of financial administrative or legal documents
AND
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
OR
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to three 3 years of experience that typically supports the knowledge skills and abilities for the position.
