Role overview:

Embark on a dynamic career journey with Otis in Florence South Carolina as our Commodity Manager for Electronics where youll be at the forefront of sourcing excellence and strategic supplier partnerships to fulfill our companys needs. Your key responsibilities will include negotiating with suppliers to ensure cost competitiveness and working collaboratively with crossfunctional teams to ensure that suppliers meet Otiss standards for cost quality and delivery performance.

On a typical you will:

  • Define the commodity strategy and align it with various departments for successful implementation.

  • Manage supplier disruptions monitor supply risks and implement strategies to mitigate those risks.

  • Continuous focus on optimizing supplier performance.

  • Provide support to operations and engineering teams whenever necessary.

  • Have the ability to travel up to 15 internationally and domestically.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering supply chain or a related field

  • Over 5 years of purchasing experience with global companies and managing international suppliers

  • Indepth knowledge of purchasing electronics and electromechanical products

  • Proven excellence in commercial negotiations and in crafting and implementing commodity strategies

  • Strong ability in data analysis and commercial risk assessment to support informed decisionmaking

  • Exceptional communication skills adept at identifying risks/issues and driving effective solutions. Take the initiative in managing potential risks and challenges

  • Deliver results through effective teamwork and collaboration

  • Highly selfdriven and capable of working independently

  • Ability to travel up to 15 internationally and domestically to support global operations

  • Willingness to accommodate flexible working hours to engage in China/EMEA time zone activities
