Job Title: PartTime Producer/Editor

Reporting To: News Brand Manager
Employment Type: PartTime
The anticipated starting salary range for Michiganbased individuals expressing interest in this position is $20.00/Hr and $21.00/Hr.
Salary to be determined by the education experience knowledge skills abilities and location of the applicant as well as internal and external equity.

Overview:
WWJ Newsradio 950 in Detroit is looking for a parttime producer and editor to join our awardwinning newsroom. This job is fastpaced and includes putting together newscasts on Saturday and Sunday and helping in the newsroom MondayFriday. The ideal candidate is a news knows Detroit and Michigan is organized can find news stories and excels with breaking news.
Responsibilities
What Youll Do:
- Edit and produce newscasts (including but not limited to selecting editing and/or writing news content)
- Manage the flow of news and information
- Edit audio for broadcast and digital assets
- Collaborate with colleagues about news coverage (i.e. propose and contribute to daily and longterm coverage plans)
- Research and coordinate compelling live and prerecorded interviews
- Followup and call on news tips and breaking stories conduct interviews with officials and newsmakers
- Promote news coverage on social media
- Protect the stations FCC license
- Other duties as required by management
