Job Description

The BUUSD MultiTiered System of Support Coordinator plays a crucial role in partnering with outside agencies to promote the social and emotional wellbeing of students in the Barre Unified Union School District. This individual utilizes data analysis to assess the effectiveness of academic and nonacademic programs and interventions identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance student outcomes. The BUUSD MultiTiered System of Support Coordinator collaborates with teachers administrators parents and community partners to create a supportive environment that fosters students social and emotional development. By working closely with various stakeholders the Coordinator ensures that initiatives are aligned with the needs of the school community and supports continuous improvement in promoting students academic and social/emotional skills.Qualifications: Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university
5 years of experience in a related field
Demonstrated knowledge of systems and methods such as positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) Developmental Designs (DD) Responsive Classroom (RC) response to intervention (RTI) traumainformed approach Universal Design for Learning (UDL) MultiTiered System of Supports (MTSS) and/or socialemotional learning (SEL)
Experience using the VTmtss Field Guide the VT Proficiencies and the UDL framework.
Comfortable with using different platforms navigating new technological resources and supporting others with technology
Strong interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills
Ability to develop and foster positive interpersonal relationships with interagency partners peers families and local school staff
Ability to problem solve troubleshoot and be flexible
Knowledge of the organization facilities capabilities and resources of VT school systems as well as a working knowledge of students and resources who have an Emotional Disturbance
