SY 25-26 Literacy Interventionist 09FTE

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Senior Director of Academic Support this specific position serves to enhance the teaching learning and assessing of literacy in order to improve student achievement.

A Bridge Boston Charter School Literacy Interventionist is expected to:

• Provide targeted datadriven literacy instruction to Tier 2 and Tier 3 students
• Collaborate with the Senior Director of Academic Support DCIs and lead teachers to identify students in need of targeted literacy interventions
• Deliver literacy interventions using research based strategies and materials
• Regularly progress monitor and assess literacy growth among the targeted students adjusting course as necessary
• Collect share and analyze data in collaboration with relevant stakeholders for each student who is targeted for literacy intervention
• Attend and participate in required MTSS meetings for students who are identified for and receiving literacy interventions
• Collaborate with the ILT and Literacy Task Force on schoolwide professional development initiatives that foster strong literacy development
• Ensure DIBELS Benchmark assessments and biweekly progress monitoring is completed schoolwide
• Perform other duties as assigned to assist with overall school culture and operations

QUALIFICATIONS

• BA required MA preferred

• 3 years of teaching and/or interventionist experience in a similar setting preferred
• Relevant Massachusetts Provisional Initial or Professional teaching certification
• Sheltered English Immersion endorsement
• Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity; belief in the value of diversity
• Clear willingness to make and learn from mistakes
