What Will You Be Doing


As the Safety Manager you will play a key role in leading and managing all aspects of safety at Spectro Alloys. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and driving a culture of safety throughout the organization. You will also collaborate with teams to design and implement effective safety programs and initiatives.


Heres what youll be doing daytoday:

  • Leading Safety Audits and Risk Assessments: Oversee safety audits identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with OSHA EPA and local safety regulations.
  • Safety Training and Accident Prevention: Conduct safety training emergency response drills and develop accident prevention strategies.
  • Hazardous Materials Oversight: Oversee safe handling and documentation of hazardous materials.
  • Safety Culture Development: Continuously assess and enhance the organizations safety culture ensuring that safety is always a priority.
  • Safety Compliance Reporting: Manage safety reporting and work with external regulatory agencies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor safety staff while collaborating with all departments to drive safety initiatives.
  • Employee Guidance: Provide guidance on safety protocols equipment usage and emergency procedures.

Who We Are Looking For:


A proactive safetyminded individual who is passionate about leading a safetyfirst culture.

  • Education: Associate or Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety Business Management or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in a safety management role preferably within manufacturing or industrial settings

Knowledge:

  • Expertise in OSHA EPA and local environmental regulations.
  • Familiarity with safety audits incident investigations root cause analysis and accident prevention.
  • Ability to lead safety programs and communicate effectively across teams.

Skills: Strong communication leadership problemsolving and organizational skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 30/40Hour certification HAZWOPER certification First Aid/CPR certifications.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment is a plus.

Requirements

Age Requirement:

Must be at least 18 years old.


Education & Experience:


Required: Associate or Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science or a related field.

Required: 3 years of experience in a safety management or leadership role preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Preferred: Experience in a heavy industrial or recycling environment.

Knowledge & Skills:

Required: Deep understanding of OSHA EPA and local safety regulations.
Required: Experience with safety audits incident investigations root cause analysis and implementing safety programs.
Required: Strong leadership communication problemsolving and organizational skills.
Required: Ability to lead teams work independently and collaborate across departments to achieve safety goals.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an industrial environment including exposure to heat noise and heavy machinery.
    Comfortable with handling hazardous materials and working in various industrial conditions.
    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Certifications & Training (Preferred but not required):

OSHA 30/40Hour certification HAZWOPER certification First Aid/CPR.

Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Background & Screening:

Must be able to pass a background check physical exam and drug screen (Safety first!.
