Job Description

Would you like to be part of a team focused on increasing the adoption of Amazon Web Services in the local government/higher education market Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help establish Amazon as a key technology platform Amazon Web Services is expanding in the U.S. Public Sector market and Amazon offers a creative fast paced entrepreneurial work environment where youll be at the center of Amazon innovation.

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Sales Representative to focus on Higher Education customer accounts throughout the state of California. You have sales experience with a terrific reputation for overachieving quota while focusing on the customer. You are a selfstarter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets. You have both a sales and technical background that enables you to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects.

You are an exceptionally strong and creative thinker who thrives in a team environment and embraces all aspects of selling. You enjoy working in a fastpaced dynamic environment.

You will:

Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory and industry vertical

Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets

Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan

Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services

Accelerate customer adoption

Maintain a robust sales pipeline

Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption

Manage contract negotiations

Develop longterm strategic relationships with key accounts

Ensure customer satisfaction

Travel as necessary

8 years of direct sales or business development in software cloud or SaaS markets selling to Clevel executives experience
10 years of business development partner development sales or alliances management experience

5 years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience
Experience developing detailed go to market plans

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
